Faith, gratitude and spiritual growth took centre stage on Friday, 23 October 2026, as City Parents’ School held a successful and colourful Catholic sacramental ceremony.
The memorable occasion brought together pupils, clergy, parents and invited guests to celebrate an important milestone in the spiritual journey of the school’s Catholic pupils.

A total of 77 pupils received three sacraments: First Holy Communion, Confirmation and the Last Commitment. The celebration marked a significant step in their faith journey, encouraging them to deepen their relationship with God and strengthen their commitment to the teachings and values of the Catholic Church.

The ceremony was presided over by the main celebrant, Monsignor Kabuye Rogers, who led the sacred proceedings. The occasion was particularly special for our Primary Seven Catholic pupils, who received a blessing as they prepare to complete their primary education and transition to the next stage of their academic journey.

The celebrations were enriched by entertaining performances from the pupils, which added colour to the occasion and created a joyful atmosphere for the invited guests. We extend our sincere appreciation to the clergy, parents, organisers and everyone who contributed to the success of this important celebration.

We believe that education extends beyond academic achievement. Our Christian Values Programme provides Christian pupils with opportunities to nurture their faith, develop good character and embrace values such as love, honesty, respect and responsibility. Through this programme, we encourage our pupils to put these values into practice in their daily lives and interactions with others.
Similarly, our Islamic Theology Programme supports our Muslim pupils in learning about their faith and strengthening their religious values. Together, these programmes reflect our commitment to supporting the spiritual development of our pupils while respecting the different religious backgrounds within our school community.
We remain committed to providing a supportive learning environment where every child is valued and empowered to grow academically, socially, morally and spiritually. By combining quality education with strong moral and religious values, we strive to nurture responsible, compassionate and confident individuals who can make meaningful contributions to their families and society.

Congratulations to all 77 pupils on reaching this important spiritual milestone. May God continue to guide them, strengthen their faith and bless them with wisdom and grace as they progress in their education and continue growing in character and responsibility.
